That’s right! Chicks can…! In an effort to motivate you all to get up off your butts and get out there, I am currently working on a summer campaign that will make it hard for you to make excuses!
Chicks can…! Will be a series of articles that relate the exciting things Chicks can do! I want to hear what you CAN do!!
We will follow each article up with lists of resources in different parts of the country and world that will help YOU do the same thing! We want to take away all your excuses for sitting on your arse. We want to challenge YOU to do something adventurous, beautiful, and challenging.
So, keep eating those chips remarking about how you could never be that brave or how you could never do what she did – because honey – You are a Chick – and Chicks can…!
I just ordered two books to get me back out and on the trail! The first is: Rail-Trails Southeast: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, and the second is: Hiking Alabama, 3rd: A Guide to Alabama’s Greatest Hiking Adventures (State Hiking Series). I have been out of commision for almost 2 years. I used to do these things all the time in California. I miss them! Got my T-Shirt and camera ready… wish me luck! 😉

OK, I wrote my article, and posted to my blog, but have no idea how to get it over here. However, I want you to know that my Chicks with Ticks T-Shirt will not be in evidence until I get fit enough to fit into it. But I promise you, I will! 😉
Thanks for the challenge! ~ Lynda

PS: Where can I get the Women can do anything as a badge to put on my blog? Ideally, it should be coded to take the reader right here to your site! ~ L

Having a family has curtailed some of my adventuring but this morning I posed the idea of a family mountain biking trip to Kielder Forest, Northumberland, UK for tomorrow when I hope we will get a break from the relentless rain of the last 2 days. Will combine this with watching out for Ospreys fishing on Kielder reservoir – we manage an Osprey Watch Blog for the Kielder ospreys – http://kielderospreys.wordpress.com/ – and haven’t been to see them yet this year.
Husband cycles under duress and doesn’t like heights so struggles with the rock climbing I used to enjoy in the mountains. My 10 year old son and I have put in for a cycle challenge ride of 34 miles in June so have to get some cycle time in. We also have the last Munro (Scottish hills over 3,000ft) party of a friend to attend in Scotland in June so need to get some hill walking time in before then as well. I take my son to a local climbing wall but struggle to climb myself at the moment as I have an injured toe.
